Yayasan Sime Darby

Yayasan Sime Darby is a foundation that was set up in 1982. The foundation works closely with the Sime Darby Group and its Divisions in areas of common concern. The foundation supports initiatives in the following five key areas:


  • Community Development
  • Youth, Sports and Recreation
  • Arts and Culture
  • Environment and Protection of Ecosystems
  • Education
Under the Education initiative, Yayasan Sime Darby aims to promote educational achievement at various levels of education and to advance research and study in areas related to Sime Darby’s core businesses.

YSD Excellence Scholarship Programme
Scholarship recipients are able to attend courses both local and overseas at pre-university, undergraduate, post graduate levels, at selected universities identified by Sime Darby.

CRITERIA

Students after SPM , after A-level ( or equivalent ), diploma and first years undergraduates are eligible to apply.

FIELDS OF STUDY

Business : Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Economics and Finance, Law

Engineering and Technology : Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Sciences : Agriculture, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Plantations Technology, Plantation management

Allied Health Science : Medicine, Nursing, Dietetics, Radiation Therapy, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)


Every year about a total of 15-20 scholars are sent to the United Kingdom.


Monthly Allowance : £1000
